MSP updates...

Since last month, activities at MSP has been slowing down due to the current political and economical situation the country is going through. However, everyone has been trying to do his/her best to make sure that our residents and patients are taken care of.

From the 15th February till 18th February we received the General Superior, Br Rene Stockman, who paid us a visit. Despite the crisis and the fear that is felt among the population he managed to pass one week among us. That was an unexpected visit!. During his stay, 2 of our Brothers renewed their vows for 2 years (Br Laurent Kouadio and Br Stanislas Ndiguissi). On the 16th February, Br Rene Stockman organized a conference with all the staff and personnel of the hospital during which he shared with us on the theme "the characteristics of a care-giver in a psychiatric hospital run by the Brothers of Charity". More on this conference will be given in our coming posts.

From the month of March, the effective of our residents has been reduced as a result of the current situation. Parents have difficulties keeping their engagements and the transportation is another challenge for those who have to travel from other regions. Others can't keep their appointments as before. The hospital is also trying to keep all the activities running normally despite all those challenges. We are thankful to our staff who are courageous and committed in their work. We will continue to keep our objectives and make sure that our patients get the best care. Our doors are always open to those who come for treatment. Of course, we have temporally revised some of our conditions and criteria in order to cope with the situation.

We will try to keep you updated as the days go on. Just, don't forget to pray for us.
