The 1st of January or Happy Birthday...

May be it is a double celebration. Sometimes when we don't know the exact date of birth of a person (most of our residents), we just put the 1s of January, to keep it easy and to help us remember it. But, some people were really born on the 1st January. This is the example of one of our staff member, Br Stanislas N. As we were celebrating the New Year, we also celebrated his birthday, a double celebration. As he shared with us, Br Stanislas was very grateful to his mother, who, instead of celebrating the New Year as all the rest, was experiencing the pains of labor. This was a gift to remember, a gift that can't be forgotten.

Br Stanislas, we again wish you a "Happy Birthday" or a "Happy New Year", no, a happy birthday, or both, just to make it simple.

Jean-Clement, RN, BSN
